During this study you will come across several names of people and places. While we cannot cover each and every name you might wish explained; we will try to explain several of them for your edification.

Amalek: Strongs Concordance #6002 `Amaleq (am‑aw‑lake'); probably of foreign origin; Amalek, A DESCENDANT OF ESAU; ALSO HIS POSTERITY AND THEIR COUNTRY: KJV ‑ Amalek. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Amalek: Son of Eliphaz, by his concubine Timnah, of the Horites; GRANDSON OF ESAU; DUKE OF EDOM (Genesis 36:12,16). The Edomites seized the Horite territory. In Hezekiah's reign the last remnant of Amalek in Edom was dispersed by the Simeonites (1 Chronicles 4:42‑43). (from Fausset's Bible Dictionary, Electronic Database Copyright (c)1998 by Biblesoft)

Kenites: Strongs Concordance #7017 Qeyniy (kay‑nee'); or Qiyniy (1 Chronicles 2:55) (kee‑nee'); patronymic from OT:7014; a Kenite or member of the tribe of Kajin: KJV ‑ Kenite (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Kenites: (ke'‑nits) (ha‑qeni, haqeni; in Numbers 24:22 and Judges 4:11, qayin; of hoi Kenaioi, hoi Kinaioi): A tribe of nomads named in association with various other peoples. They are first mentioned along with the Kadmonites and Kenizzites among the peoples whose land was promised to Abram (Genesis 15:19).

Balaam, seeing them from the heights of Moab; puns upon their name, which resembles the Hebrew ken, "a nest," prophesying their destruction although their nest was "set in the rock"‑possibly a reference to Sela, the city.

Moses' father‑in‑law, Jethro, is called "the priest of Midian" in Exodus 3:1; 18:1; but in Judges 1:16 he is described as a Kenite, showing a close relation between the Kenites and Midian. At the time of Sisera's overthrow, Heber, a Kenite, at "peace" with Jabin, king of Hazor, pitched his tent far North of his ancestral seats (Judges 4:17).

There were Kenites dwelling among the Amalekites in the time of Saul (1 Samuel 15:6). They were spared because they had "showed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt." David, in his answer to Achish, links the Kenites with the inhabitants of the South of Judah (1 Samuel 27:10). Among the ancestors of the tribe of Judah, the Chronicler includes the Kenite Hammath, the father of the Rechabites (1 Chronicles 2:55). These last continued to live in tents, practicing the ancient nomadic customs (Jeremiah 35:6).

The word qeni in Aramaic means "smith." Professor Sayce thinks they may really have been a tribe of smiths, resembling "the gipsies of modern Europe, as well as the traveling tinkers or blacksmiths of the Middle Ages" (Hastings Dictionary of the Bible, s.v.). This would account for their relations with the different peoples, among whom they would reside in pursuit of their calling.

In Josephus they appear as Kenetides, and in Ant, IV, vii, 3 he calls them "the race of the Shechemites." (from International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, Electronic Database Copyright (c)1996 by Biblesoft)

Kenizzites: Strongs Concordance #7074 Qenizziy (ken‑iz‑zee'); patronymic from OT:7073, a Kenizzite or descendant of Kenaz: KJV ‑ Kenezite, Kenizzites. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

That these Kenizzites were the descendants of Esau, we find in Strongs Concordance #7073: Qenaz (ken‑az'); probably from an unused root meaning to hunt; hunter; Kenaz, the name of an Edomite and of two Israelites: KJV ‑ Kenaz. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Kenizzite (ken'i‑zit; Heb. haqqenizzi). The Kenizzites are mentioned in Genesis 15:19, where they are named between the Kenites and the Kadmonites among the nations to be dispossessed by Israel. They probably dwelt somewhere in the southern part of Canaan. They were related to the Kenites and like them were skilled metal‑workers of the copper‑rich Jordan Valley and the Arabah (see Kenite).

In Genesis 36:11,15 Kenaz is a son of Eliphaz, the son of Esau, and in Genesis 36:42 Kenaz appears among the "chiefs" of Edom. This leads us to believe that the Kenizzites were an Edomite tribe. The case is similar to that of Amalek (which see); but the occurrence of the name Kenaz in vv. 15, 42 makes it appear that Kenaz may have been a more common name than Amalek. In Numbers 32:12; Joshua 14:6,14 the same Hebrews ("Kenezite," KJV) is an epithet of Caleb or of Jephunneh in the phrase "Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite."

It is quite probable that Caleb was descended from the Edomite Kenaz. This is argued from Joshua 15:13, "Now he gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the sons of Judah," and Joshua 14:14, "Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh, the Kenizzite until this day, because he followed the Lord God of Israel fully."

The same is indicated by Edomite and Horite names in the genealogy of Caleb. Thus, besides Kenaz (Genesis 36:11,15), we find Shobal (cf. 1 Chronicles 2:52 with Genesis 36:20), Manahathites (1 Chronicles 2:52; cf. Manahath, Genesis 36:23), Korah (cf. Genesis 36:14,16,18 with 1 Chronicles 2:43), the Ithrites (1 Chronicles 2:53; cf. Ithran, Genesis 36:26), Elah (1 Chronicles 4:15; cf. Genesis 36:41), and Jephunneh, who has been compared with Pinon (Genesis 36:41). (From The New Unger's Bible Dictionary. Originally published by Moody Press of Chicago, Illinois. Kadmanites: Strongs Concordance #6935 Qadmoniy (kad‑mo‑nee'); the same as OT:6931; ancient, i.e. aboriginal; Kadmonite (collectively), the name of a tribe in Palestine: KJV ‑ Kadmonites. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Kad'monite (Heb. Kadmoni', eastern, as in Ezekiel 10:19, etc., or former, as in Ezekiel 38:17, etc.; only once of a nation, collect. in the sing., Generis 15:19; Sept. Vulg. Cedmoncei, A.V. "Kadmonites"), THE NAME OF A CANAANITISH TRIBE, who appear to have dwelt in the north‑east part of Palestine, under Mount Hermon, at the time that Abraham sojourned in the land, and are mentioned in a more than ordinarily full list of the aborigines of Canaan (Genesis 15:19).

As the name is derived from kedem, " east," it is supposed by Dr. Wells and others to denote a people situated to the east of the Jordan, or, rather, that it .was a term applied collectively, like "Orientals," to all the people living in the countries beyond that river.

At least it may be a term of contrast with the more western Zidonians. As the term likewise signifies ancient, it may designate the older or aboriginal races of that region in general, who were recognized as the earliest in origin. Both these explanations may be correct, as the Kadmonites are not elsewhere mentioned as a distinct nation; and the subsequent discontinuance of the term, 'in the assigned acceptation, may easily be accounted for by the nations beyond the river having afterwards become more distinctly known, so as to be mentioned by their several distinctive names.

See HIVITES. The reader may see much ingenious trifling respecting this name in Bochart (Canaan, i, 19); the substance of which is that Cadmus, the founder of Thebes, in Boeotia, was originally a Kadmonite, and that the name of his wife, Hermione, was derived from Mount Hermon. By others the name Kadmonites has been extended as equivalent to " the children of the East" i. e., those living beyond the Euphrates (Ewald,. Isr. Gesch. i, 300) See BENE‑KEDEM, and Reland (Palaestina, p. 94)' has sought to identify them with the Nabathaeans of Arabia; but these were Ishmaelites.

It was probably applied collectively to various tribes, like the Saracens of the Middle Ages or the Bedouins of modern times (Ritter, Erdkunde, 15:138). According to Dr. Thomson, the name is still preserved among the Nusariyeh north of Tripoli, who have a tradition that their ancestors were expelled from Palestine by Joshua, and who seem in physiognomy and manners to belong to the most ancient inhabitants of the country (Land and Book, i, 242). Hittites: Strongs Concordance #2850 Chittiy (khit‑ tee'); patronymically from OT:2845; a Chittite, or descendant of Cheth: KJV ‑ Hittite, Hittities.

Strongs Concordance: #2845 Cheth (khayth); from OT:2865; terror; Cheth, AN ABORIGINAL CANAANITE: KJV ‑ Heth. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Hit'tite, or rather Chethite: (Heb. Chitti', usually in the plur. Sept. also "children of Heth;" fem. Ezekiel 16:3; plur. 1 Kings 11:1; also "daughters of Heth," Genesis 27:46), THE DESIGNATION OF THE DESCENDANTS OF HETH, AND ONE OF THE NATIONS OF CANAAN (q.v.).

I. Biblical Notices:

(1.) With five exceptions, noticed below, the word is "the Chittite;" in the singular number, according to the common Hebrew idiom.. It is occasionally rendered in the A.V. in the singular number," the Hittite" (Exodus 23:28; 33:2; 34:11; Joshua 9:1; 11:3), but elsewhere as a plur. (Genesis 15:20; Exodus 3:8,17; 13:5; 23:23; Numbers 13:29; Deuteronomy 7:1; 20:17; Joshua 3:10; 12:8; 24:11; Judges 3:5; 1 Kings 9:20; 2 Chronicles 8:7; Ezra 9:1; Nehemiah 9:8; 1 Esdras 8:69.

(2.) The plural form of the word is the Chittim, or Hittites (Joshua 1:4; Judges 1:26; 1 Kings 10:29; 2 Kings 7:6; 2 Chronicles 1:1; 17).

(3.) "A Hittite [woman]" is (Ezekiel 16:3,45). In 1 Kings 11:1, the same word is rendered "Hittites."

In the list of the descendants of Noah, HETH OCCUPIES THE SECOND PLACE AMONG THE CHILDREN OF CANAAN. It is to be observed that the first and second names, Sidoli and Heth, are not gentile nouns, and that all the names following are gentile nouns in the sing. SIDON IS CALLED THE FIRST-BORN OF CANAAN, though the name of the town is probably put for that of its founder, or eponym, "the fisherman," of Philo of Byblus. It is therefore probable, as we find no city Heth, that this is the name of the ancestor of the nation, and the gentile noun, children of Heth, makes this almost certain. After the enumeration of the nations sprung from Canaan, it is addled, "

And afterwards were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad" (Genesis 10:18). This passage will be illustrated by the evidence that there were Hittites and Amorites beyond Canaan, and also beyond the wider territory that must be allowed for the placing of the Hamathites, who, it may be added, perhaps had not migrated from Canaan at the date to which the list of Noah's descendants mainly refers (see verse 19). Perizzites: Strongs Concordance #6522 Perizziy (per‑iz‑zee'); for OT:6521; inhabitant of the open country; a Perizzite, ONE OF THE CANAANITISH tribes: KJV ‑ Perizzite. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Per'izzite: (Heb. Perizzi', always in the sing. and with the article; Sept. in Ezra, A CANAANITISH TRIBE, already known in the time of Abraham, inhabiting a mountainous region (Genesis 13:7; comp. 15:20), which they eventually yielded to Ephraim and Judah (Joshua 11:3; 17:15; Judges 1:4,5).

THEY WERE KINDRED TO THE CANAANITES strictly so called (Exodus 23:23; Judges 1:1:45): SOMETIMES CANAANITES AND PERIZZITES ARE PUT FOR ALL THE OTHER TRIBES OF CANAAN (Genesis 13:7; 34:30); while in other places the Perizzites are enumerated with various other tribes of the same stock (Genesis 15:20; Exodus 3:8,17; Deuteronomy 7:1, etc.). They are not named in the catalogue of Genesis 10; so that their origin, like that of other small tribes, such as the Avites, and the similarly named Gerizzites, is left in obscurity. They are continually mentioned in the formula so frequently occurring to express the Promised Land (Genesis 15:20; Exodus 3:8,17; 23:23; 33:2; 34:11; Deuteronomy 7:1; 20:17; Joshua 3:10; 9:1; 24:11; Judges 3:5; Ezra 9:1; Nehemiah 9:8).

They appear, however, with somewhat greater distinctness on several occasions. On Abram's first entrance into the land it is said to have been occupied by "the Canaanite and the Perizzite" (Genesis 13:7). As the separation of Abram and Lot, there recorded, took place at Bethel, we may infer that the Perizzites were then in that vicinity.

Jacob also, after the massacre of the Shechemites, uses the same expression, complaining that his sons had "made him to stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanite and the Perizzite" (Genesis 34:30). This seems to locate the Perizzites near Shechem. So also in the detailed records of the conquest given in the opening of the book of Judges (evidently from a distinct source from those in Joshua), Judah and Simeon are said to have found their territory occupied by "the Canaanite and the Perizzite" (Judges 1:4,5), with Bezek (a place not yet discovered, but apparently not far from Jerusalem, and hence probably on the south‑western boundary of Ephraim) as their stronghold, and Adoni‑bezek their most noted chief.

Thus too a late tradition, preserved in 2 Esdras 1:21, mentions only "the Canaanites, the Pheresites,‑and the Philistines," as the original ten ants of the country. The notice just cited from the. book of Judges locates them in the southern part of the Holy Land. Another independent and equally remarkable fragment of the history of the conquest seems to speak of them as occupying, with the Rephaim, or giants, the "forest country" on the western flanks of Mount Carmel (Joshua 17:15‑18). Here again the Canaanites only are named with them.

As a tribe of mountaineers, they are enumerated in company with the Amorites, Hittites, and Jebusites in Joshua 11:3; 12:8; and they are catalogued among the remnants of the old population whom Solomon reduced to bondage, both in 1 Kings 9:20 and 2 Chronicles 8:7. Not only had they not been exterminated, but they even intermarried with the Israelites (Judges 3:5,6; Ezra 9:1). By Josephus the Perizzites do not appear to be mentioned. (from McClintock and Strong Encyclopedia, Electronic Database. Copyright (c) 2000 by Biblesoft)

Rephaims: Strongs Concordance #7497 rapha' (raw‑faw'); or raphah (raw‑faw'); from OT:7495 in the sense of invigorating; a giant: KJV ‑ giant, Rapha, Rephaim (‑s). See also OT:1051. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Rephaim: (eemeq (OT:6010)). 2 Samuel 5:17‑18,22; 23:13; 1 Chronicles 11:15; 14:9; Isaiah 17:5. In Joshua 15:8; 18:16, it is translated "the valley of the giants." The scene of David's twice routing the Philistines utterly and destroying their idols; so that it was named PERAZIM (which see), God breaking forth there upon David's foes (for they came to seek him to avenge their old quarrel, on hearing of his accession); a type of God's future utter overthrow of the church's last foes (Isaiah 28:21‑22).

The Philistines came in harvest time to the valley, to carry off the ripe crops, in 2 Samuel 23:13; Isaiah 17:5. Joshua (Joshua 15:8) says Judah's boundary "went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley, of Rephaim (giants) northward."

The most northern point of the valley of Rephaim was at the summit that terminated the valley of Hinnom on the W. Its proximity to Bethlehem is implied in 2 Samuel 23:13‑17. Bethlehem was S. of Jerusalem. Moreover, the Philistines' natural line of march to Jerusalem would be from the S.W.

Hence it is likely the valley of Rephaim is the wide elevated plain which, beginning at the top of the valley of Hinnom, stretches S. along the road to Bethlehem, but gradually bends W. until it contracts into the narrow, deep valley, wady el Werd. (from Fausset's Bible Dictionary, Electronic Database Copyright (c)1998 by Biblesoft)

Amorites: Strongs Concordance #567 'Emoriy (em‑o‑ree'); probably a patronymic from an unused name derived from OT:559 in the sense of publicity, i.e. prominence; thus, a mountaineer; an Emorite, ONE OF THE CANAANITISH TRIBES: KJV ‑ Amorite. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Amorites: [AM oh rites] (Westerners)‑the inhabitants of the land west of the Euphrates River, which included Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria (see Map 1, C‑2). The Amorites were one of the major tribes, or national groups, living in Canaan. The Old Testament frequently uses "Amorites" as a synonym for Canaanites in general. THE BOOK OF GENESIS CITES CANAAN AS THE ANCESTOR OF THE AMORITES (Genesis 10:16). (from Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary, Copyright (c)1986, Thomas Nelson Publishers)

Canaanites: Strongs Concordance #3669 Kena` aniy (ken‑ah‑an‑ee'); patrial from OT:3667; a Kenaanite or inhabitant of Kenaan; by implication, a pedlar (the Canaanites standing for their neighbors the Ishmaelites, who conducted mercantile caravans): KJV ‑ Canaanite, merchant, trafficker. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Almost all of the Bible Commentaries say that Canaan helped Ham in his iniquitous act; but how can that be because Canaan was THE SON OF HAM:

Genesis 9:18: And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.; Genesis 10:6: And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.; 1 Chronicles 1:8: The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

But except for this some of them are very good at what they present.

Canaan had many sons, and they are listed in two places, once in Genesis and then expanded in 1 Chronicles:

Genesis 10:15‑18: And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite, And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. ; 1 Chronicles 1:13‑16: And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth, The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite, And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

To explain Hams sin so that you can understand it we first go to Genesis to see what it says about Ham and his uncovering his fathers nakedness:

Genesis 9:22: And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

The nakedness of ones father is explained in:

Leviticus 18:7‑8: The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

Therefore, we can see clearly that Ham had sexual relations with one of Noahs wives.

Canaan: From Ham came four main races; Cush (Ethiopia), Mizraim (Egypt), Phut (Nubia), and Canaan (originally before Abraham extending from Hamath in the N. to Gaza in the S.), comprising six chief tribes, the Hittites, Hivites, Amorites, Jebusites, Perizzites, and Girgashites; to which the Canaanites (in the narrow sense) being added make up the mystic number seven.

Ten are specified in Genesis 15:19‑21, including some on E. of Jordan and S. of Palestine. The four Hamitic races occupied a continuous tract comprising the Nile valley, Palestine, S. Arabia, Babylonia, and Kissia.

The Phoenicians were Semitic (from Shem), but the Canaanites preceded them in Palestine and Lower Syria. Sidon, Area, Arvad, and Zemara or Simra (Genesis 15:19‑21) originally were Canaanite; afterward they fell under the Phoenicians, who were immigrants into Syria from the shores of the Persian gulf, peaceable traffickers, skillful in navigation and the arts, and unwar‑like except by sea.

With these the Israelites were on friendly terms; but with the Canaanites fierce and war‑like, having chariots of iron, Israel was commanded never to be at peace, but utterly to root them out; not however the Arvadite. Arkite, Sinite, Zemarite, and Hamathite. The Semitic names Melchizedek, Hamer, Sisera, Salem, Ephrath are doubtless not the original Canaanite names, but their Hebraized forms. (from Fausset's Bible Dictionary, Electronic Database Copyright (c)1998 by Biblesoft)

Girgashites: Strongs Concordance #1622 Girgashiy (ghir‑gaw‑shee'); patrial from an unused name [of uncertain derivation]; a Girgashite, ONE OF THE NATIVE TRIBES OF CANAAN: KJV ‑ Girgashite, Girgasite. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Girgashites (ger'ga‑shits). ONE OF THE SEVEN CANAANITE NATIONS whose land was given to Israel. Joshua 24:11 seems to place them W of the Jordan. In Genesis 10:16 and 1 Chronicles 1:14 THE GIRGASHITE IS DESCENDED FROM CANAAN. The Girgashites are enumerated among the Canaanite nations only in Genesis 15:21; Deuteronomy 7:1; Joshua 3:10; 24:11; Nehemiah 9:8. (From The New Unger's Bible Dictionary. Originally published by Moody Press of Chicago, Illinois. Copyright (c) 1988.)

Jebusites: Strongs Concordance #2983 Yebuwciy (yeb‑oo‑see'); patrial from OT:2982; a Jebusite or inhabitant of Jebus: KJV ‑ Jebusite (‑s).

Strongs Concordance #2982 Yebuwc (yeb‑oos'); from OT:947; trodden, i.e. threshing‑place; Jebus, the aboriginal name of Jerusalem: KJV ‑ Jebus. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Jebsuite, Jebusites (jeb'u‑sit; Heb. always sing. hayebusi, 2 Samuel 5:6; 24:16,18; 1 Chronicles 21:18, and yebusi in 2 Samuel 5:8; 1 Chronicles 11:6; Zechariah 9:7). ONE OF THE CANAANITE PEOPLES WHO WERE TO BE DISPOSSESSED BY ISRAEL.

In the list of the doomed nations the Jebusites always come last, except in Ezra 9:1; Nehemiah 9:8. But this was not because they were of no account. They were mountaineers, living in the "hill country" (Numbers 13:29; Joshua 11:3). Their city was Jerusalem (15:63), "that is, Jebus" (1 Chronicles 11:4), which was also known as "the Jebusite" (Joshua 15:8; 18:16,28). Their warlike character is seen throughout their entire history. It was Adonizedek, king of Jerusalem, who raised the confederacy against Gibeon (Joshua 10:1‑4). The Jebusites were summoned to take part in the confederacy headed by Jabin, king of Hazor (Joshua 11:1, 3).

The king of Jerusalem was among those smitten by Joshua (Joshua 12:10), and from Joshua 12:7 we might infer that Israel had taken their territory. But they still retained at least their royal city (Judges 1:21) until the time of David (2 Samuel 5:6‑8; 1 Chronicles 11:4‑6). Living on the border between Judah and Benjamin, the Jebusites dwelt with Judah (Joshua 15:63) and with Benjamin (Judges 1:21), to which tribe Jerusalem belonged (Joshua 18:28). It is presumably implied that neither tribe was able to dislodge them.

The only appearance of Jebusites after this is in the story of Araunah (2 Samuel 24:16‑24), or Ornan (1 Chronicles 21:14‑28), the Jebusite. Nehemiah 9:8 is a historical reminiscence, and probably Zecheriah 9:7; but Ezra 9:1 certainly seems to imply the existence of the Jebusites as a distinct heathen tribe. (From The New Unger's Bible Dictionary. Originally published by Moody Press of Chicago, Illinois. Copyright (c) 1988.)

Hivite: Strongs Concordance #2340 Chivviy (khiv‑vee'); perhaps from OT:2333; a villager; a Chivvite, one of the aboriginal tribes of Palestine: KJV ‑ Hivite. (ONE OF CANAANS SONS) (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Hivites (hi'vits; cf. Heb. hawwa, "tent village," Arab. hiwa`, "collection of tents," Heb. "the Hivite"). ONE OF THE SEVEN NATIONS OF CANAAN WHO WERE TO BE DESTROYED BY THE ISRAELITES (Deuteronomy 7:1, and elsewhere; cf. Genesis 10:17).

The focus of the Hivites seems to have been in the N. In Joshua 11:3 the Hivites dwelt "at the foot of Hermon in the land of Mizpeh"; in Judges 3:3 they "lived in Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal‑hermon as far as Lebo‑hamath"; in 2 Samuel 24:7 "all the cities of the Hivites" are numbered apparently near Tyre. And all these seem to be in some sense official locations of the Hivite race, rather than mere chance settlements.

But the name Hivite may be a descriptive term like Amorite (which see) and not a local name, for we find Hivites in other localities. Hamor, the father of Shechem, was a Hivite. The whole story (Genesis 34:2‑31) shows them to have been warmhearted, impulsive, and overconfident (v. 23), as well as overly trustful (v. 21) and given to trade and to the multiplication of flocks and herds rather than to war.

It is hinted that the absence of any attempt at revenge confirms this impression of unwarlike character, as does the ease with which Abimelech took the city, though indeed at last not without hard fighting (Judges 9:22‑49) and by the "unmilitary character" of his slayer and of her weapon (v. 53). Perhaps the name of their god, Baal‑berith, "Baal of the league," may confirm this impression of their unwarlike character.

In Joshua 9:7,17 we find Hivites occupying four confederate cities (Gibeon, Chephirah, Beeroth, and Kiriath‑jearim) in the western half of the territory assigned. Here we find the same foresighted keenness and disposition to gain their ends by diplomacy rather than by arms; their craft this time is less self‑confident and more successful. Arkite: Strongs Concordance #6208 `Arqiy (ar‑kee'); patrial from an unused name meaning a tush; an Arkite or inhabitant of Erek: KJV ‑ Arkite. ONE OF CANAANS SONS. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek‑Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)

Arkites: [AR kights]‑A TRIBE DESCENDED FROM CANAAN (1 Chronicles 1:15). They lived at Arka, in PHOENICIA. The modern site is Tell 'Arka, located about 19 kilometers (12 miles) north of Tripolis, in Syria. (from Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary, Copyright (c)1986, Thomas Nelson Publishers)

Hamath: (ha'‑math) (chamath; Hemath, Haimath; Swete also has Hemath): The word signifies a defense or citadel, and such designation was very suitable for this chief royal city of the Hittites, situated between their northern and southern capitals, Carchemish and Kadesh, on a gigantic mound beside the Orontes. In Amos 6:2 it is named Great Hamath, but not necessarily to distinguish it from other places of the same name.

1. Early History: THE HAMATHITE IS MENTIONED IN Genesis 10:18 AMONG THE SONS OF CANAAN, but in historic times the population, as the personal names testify, seems to have been for the most part Semitic The ideal boundary of Israel reached the territory, but not the city of Hamath (Numbers 34:8; Joshua 13:5; Ezekiel 47:13‑21). David entered into friendly relations with Toi, its king (2 Samuel; 8:9 ff), and Solomon erected store cities in the land of Hamath (2 Chronicles 8:4). In the days of Ahab we meet with it on the cuneiform inscriptions, under the name mat hamatti, and its king Irhuleni was a party to the alliance of the Hittites with Ben‑hadad of Damascus and Ahab of Israel against Shalmaneser II; but this was broken up by the battle of Qarqar in 854 BC, and Hamath became subject to Assyria.

Jeroboam II attacked, partially destroyed, and held it for a short time (2 Kings 14:28; Amos 6:2). In 730 BC, its king Eniilu paid tribute to Tiglath‑pileser, but he divided its lands among his generals, and transported 1,223 of its inhabitants to Sura on the Tigris. In 720, Sargon "rooted out the land of Hamath and dyed the skin of Ilubi'idi (or Jau‑bi'idi) its king, like wool" and colonized the country with 4,300 Assyrians, among whom was Deioces the Mede.

A few years later Sennacherib also claims to have taken it (2 Kings 18:34; 19:13; 2 Chronicles 36:19; Isaiah 37:13). In Isaiah 11:11, mention is made of Israelites in captivity at Hamath, and Hamathites were among the colonists settled in Samaria (2 Kings 17:24) by Esarhaddon in 675 BC. Their special object of worship was Ashima, which, notwithstanding various conjectures, has not been identified. And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwelling place, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock. The Bible teaches us as individuals under the same government to do good to our enemies, and yet it requires us to have them brought to punishment. To make an enemy do right is no evidence of a want of love to him, provided that we do not do it from pure hatred of him, rather than of his wickedness. So to make wicked nations and tyrants do right is no proof of want of true live to their souls even if we have to break their power. God commands us to sanctify war. So the Almighty tell us that He will destroy His enemies.

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever. If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I WILL RENDER VENGEANCE TO MINE ENEMIES, AND WILL REWARD THEM THAT HATE ME. I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, FROM THE BEGINNING OF REVENGES UPON THE ENEMY. Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people. (Deuteronomy 32:39-43)

Yahweh knows that freedom is but a common body, as truly as true religion; if you strike one member, all of the others sympathize with it. Let the cry of the oppressed in any portion of His holy mountains, and every one of its millions of nerves are agitated, and all its pulses beat with excitement and indignation. Yet our people today do not respond in a natural way because of the enemies of Yahweh and their propaganda machines. Therefore, He says time and again that He will destroy His enemies.

So LET ALL THINE ENEMIES PERISH, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might... (Judges 5:31)

As the climax of the sufferings of our Israel people they will rally around their leader, Yahweh for deliverance, so the climax of oppression of the Israel peoples will instantly be united by affinity. It is then that separate and independent provinces will be melted, like ingots of gold into a state of common fusion or will be welded like bars of steel by the fire and the hand of Almighty God.

But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost. (Job 11:20)

As Israel entered a wilderness to stand; its probation under a new Kingdom our Israelite people are not pious, and most are not even Christian, yet they believe they are because Yahweh has planted His word in their hearts; yet most are unbelieving in the religion of Christ, and yet approve and contend for the justice of liberty.

Yea, the light of THE WICKED SHALL BE PUT OUT, and THE SPARK OF HIS FIRE SHALL NOT SHINE. THE LIGHT SHALL BE DARK IN HIS TABERNACLE, and HIS CANDLE SHALL BE PUT OUT WITH HIM. The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down. For HE IS CAST INTO A NET BY HIS OWN FEET, and HE WALKETH UPON A SNARE. THE GIN SHALL TAKE HIM BY THE HEEL, and the robber shall prevail against him. THE SNARE IS LAID FOR HIM IN THE GROUND, and A TRAP FOR HIM IN THE WAY. Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet. His strength shall be hunger bitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side. It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength. His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors. It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: BRIMSTONE SHALL BE SCATTERED UPON HIS HABITATION. HIS ROOTS SHALL BE DRIED UP beneath, and above shall HIS BRANCH BE CUT OFF. HIS REMEMBRANCE SHALL PERISH FROM THE EARTH, and HE SHALL HAVE NO NAME IN THE STREET. HE SHALL BE DRIVEN FROM LIGHT INTO DARKNESS, AND CHASED OUT OF THE WORLD. HE SHALL NEITHER HAVE SON NOR NEPHEW AMONG HIS PEOPLE, NOR ANY REMAINING IN HIS DWELLINGS. They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted. SURELY SUCH ARE THE DWELLINGS OF THE WICKED, and THIS IS THE PLACE OF HIM THAT KNOWETH NOT GOD. (Job 18:5‑21)

The growth of freedom, spiritual and civil, was necessarily gradual, as is the growth of an oak from an acorn. Israelites, generally over the world, in past ages, and two thirds of them in the present age, have been, and are, as unfit for Christianity as the wicked are for heaven.

How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! God distributeth sorrows in his anger. They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away. God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it. His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty. For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst? (Job 21:17-21)

It is a received maxim, that the best forth of government for any people, IS THE BEST THAT ITS PRESENT MORAL AND SOCIAL CONDITION RENDERS PRACTICABLE. Thus, under the influence of the wicked and the antichrists the morals and social climate has deteriorated to almost nothing. Yet, the remnant, is all that is keeping the wrath of Yahweh at bay; and our Israel people are not even aware of it.

That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath. (Job 21:30)

The general development of justice over the whole world will come in an instant, at the twinkling of the eye, as our Savior and King returns to gather us, His Israel people to Him.

Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity? (Job 31:4)

America could not have become the great nation it once was without a high state of morals and intelligence blended together; we repeat it, they must both exist together.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. THE UNGODLY ARE NOT SO: BUT ARE LIKE THE CHAFF WHICH THE WIND DRIVETH AWAY. THEREFORE THE UNGODLY SHALL NOT STAND IN THE JUDGMENT, NOR SINNERS IN THE CONGREGATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but THE WAY OF THE UNGODLY SHALL PERISH. (Psalm 1:1-6)

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. (Deuteronomy 28:1-14)

Thou hast rebuked the heathen, THOU HAST DESTROYED THE WICKED, THOU HAST PUT OUT THEIR NAME FOR EVER AND EVER. O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them. (Psalm 9:5-6)

But today, in America, morality and intelligence are retarded by the union of antichrist and the wicked. These barriers must be broken before America can move another step toward the Kingdom.

The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. THE WICKED SHALL BE TURNED INTO HELL, AND ALL THE NATIONS THAT FORGET GOD. (Psalm 9:16-17)

Therefore, we must stand and fight the tyranny that is threatening to engulf us and our children. Fight until there is none left standing and pray constantly for our Savior and King to come and help us in this end time fight.

The LORD trieth the righteous: but THE WICKED AND HIM THAT LOVETH VIOLENCE HIS SOUL HATETH. UPON THE WICKED HE SHALL RAIN SNARES, FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, AND AN HORRIBLE TEMPEST: THIS SHALL BE THE PORTION OF THEIR CUP. (Psalm 11:5-6)

Our Israel people must be fused by the melting bolts of universal revolution, and its dross, the antichrist and the wicked, thrown off like the cinders of a blast furnace, before they can hope for much. They must wait upon a Leading Power, in whom they can repose in confidence, as a guide to exaltation.

Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave. Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. (Psalm 31:17-18)

No guide in the position we are in can be safe, except Yahweh be at its head. America, therefore, is the natural enemy of the antichrists and the wicked.

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. (Psalm 34:21)

When Yahweh deems it is time our people will once again be crowned with fortune and glory, and will return, freed from tears, and share their salvation with the brothers and sisters that are being freed from bondage by a terrible enemy. The child of sorrows, in the day of His splendor, will send the wings of an eagle to cover His orphan brothers and sisters from the serfdom of Sodom, from the Queers, from the antichrists and the wicked.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be...The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous...But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. (Psalm 37:8-22)

The United States was formed as a Christian Israel; the name, Israel, literally signifies, a prince with God, or wrestling or prevailing with God. As a result of Jacob, our father, who prevailed over the angel.

Genesis 32:24‑28: And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Hosea 12:4: Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us.

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. (Psalm 37:34-38)

The restoration of Israel and its fulfillment in the rise of the United States has its parallel in the Israelites escape from Egypt across a sea, and its erection of a government in the wilderness. (Exodus 15) As Israel was restored as promised by the prophets n a mighty scale, and it was to be a Christian Nation; and so it was in the beginning.

But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee. When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son. These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. (Psalm 50:16-21)

We have only to look a little ways back in time to see that America and its Israel people were once glorious; and we can clearly see a Christian Israel, enjoying the greatest and most glorious of all nationalities and peoples. Here is a coincidence with the prophets; and here then is their fulfillment.

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. (Psalm 58:10)

Christ assured His disciples that the restoration was to be a mystery, and Daniel told that its history; in prophecy, would be concealed, till just before the last battle; and the blindness on the subject hitherto, has resulted from the order of Yahweh. This concealment of our country as the Israel restored of the promises, every wise man can see with a prudent measure with reference both to our past and future history.

Let God arise, LET HIS ENEMIES BE SCATTERED: LET THEM ALSO THAT HATE HIM FLEE BEFORE HIM. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so LET THE WICKED PERISH AT THE PRESENCE OF GOD. (Psalm 68:1-2) (KJV)

From the forty-third to the forty-eighth chapter of Ezekiel, he gives a description of Christianity, in all its progress, and triumphs after the rise of the Israel of Christ to nationality. He embraces all that Daniel did, beginning with the rise of the stone kingdom, and all that John does, beginning with the kingdom that sprung from the woman or church in the wilderness.

Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: REMEMBER HOW THE FOOLISH MAN REPROACHETH THEE DAILY. FORGET NOT THE VOICE OF THINE ENEMIES: THE TUMULT OF THOSE THAT RISE UP AGAINST THEE INCREASETH CONTINUALLY. (Psalm 74:22-23)

We dont have space here to quote these chapters, and shall only give the strong points of coincidence between the three prophets mentioned. We say, that this vision coincides with Daniels and Johns descriptions of the same era.

1). This must be true, because they both describe the same era, and, of course, must coincide in the same subjects.

2). Both John and Daniel predicted the universality of the empire of Christ, and Ezekiel does the same. The holy city of Ezekiel, and his trees of life, and river of the water of life, also coincide with the city New JerUSAlem (The United States of America), the river and trees of life given by John. This shows that their descriptions of these things refer to the very same era.

All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. (Psalm 75:10)

3). Ezekiel, in addition to this, describes the rise of Israel, and his occupancy of the promised land. In this description it is clear that Israel did not, at the time of this settlement, possess the whole earth, but only a part of it, and thus it coincides with the descriptions of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, and John.

In the forty-eighth chapter he says, the division of the promised land to the tribes, shall not be as in ancient times, but that they shall extend from east to west, and lie side by side of each other. He says, also, that there shall be a sea on the east side of the land and a great sea on the west.

This shall be the border whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel; Joseph shall have two portion. (Ezekiel 47:13)

In this land, also, was to be an inheritance for strangers:

And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

The writer here is speaking of other tribes of Israelites who move from their original place to live with another Israelite tribe. It is not speaking of a nigger, Mexican, arab, Chinese, or some other race or people. It is speaking about Israelites only.

When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever...For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered...Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. (Psalm 92:7-11)

And who are the enemies of God, of course it is the Jews.

He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD. (Psalm 101:7-8)

Keep in mind that with Joseph having two portions, this would, of course, make thirteen tribes or states when restored. Also remember that the whole of the vision of Ezekiel is given in the apparel of the ceremonial law of the Israelites. This being so, the whole prophecy is certainly symbolic, because the Israelite ceremonial law will never be restored.

Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD. (Psalm 104:35)

As the ceremonial law was typical of Christianity, and as the whole Israelite economy was typical of the Christian dispensation, it follows that all Israelite names and customs mentioned by Ezekiel were figuratively used for coincident names and objects in the days of Christ.

Of course carnal Israel (the United States), is put for Christs Israel, and the restoration of the thirteen tribes was to be realized by Christians and PALESTINE WAS TO COINCIDE WITH THE LAND PROMISED TO JAPHETIC IN THE LATTER DAYS.

And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked. (Psalm 106:18)

As the United States arose from a Christian people; as its borders are two great seas; as it arose in thirteen divisions lying side by side on a great sea; and as provision is made for the inheritance of strangers, it exactly coincides with Ezekiels symbolic description of Israel restored, and, as perfect coincidence is fulfillment, the United States fulfills the prophecy of Israels restoration.

The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish. (Psalm 112:10)

Ezekiel gave several descriptions of Israels restoration, and we have just considered his last prediction on that subject. In the description prior to it, he tells us the condition of Israel restored, and announces a great invasion of its country by the allied powers of the world. His description of the battle is found in the thirty-eighth and thirty-ninth chapters, and is doubled.

In John and Daniel, we have Russia, or at the least the head of the beast and willful leader, described as the invader of Israel prior to Christs return. As this invasion of Israel by Gog coincides chronologically with John and Daniels descriptions, Gog and his allies coincide with Russia and confederate Europe. We can see the confederation of Europe being formed even as this is written.

SURELY THOU WILT SLAY THE WICKED, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. FOR THEY SPEAK AGAINST THEE WICKEDLY, AND THINE ENEMIES TAKE THY NAME IN VAIN. Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. (Psalm 139:19-22)

We shall, however, find in this prophecy of Ezekiel abundant proof that Gog coincides with Russia. We shall interpret minutely: first, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him. (Ezekiel 38:2)

1). The term Gog, is clearly derived from Magog, for Magog is as old as the days of Noah. Gog is called a prince, or head of many countries. Do the Jews not control many countries as well as Russia?

2). The land of Magog: Magog was one of the seven sons of Japhet. His sons were Gomer, Magog, Maadai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech and Tiras. The sons of Gomer, Japhets oldest son, were Ashkenath (or Ashkanazi, known to the world today as the Jews), Riphath, and Togarmah. The sons of Javan, Japhets fourth son, were Elisha, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands.

Calmet, and most other of the old scholars, prove that Europe and Asia Minor are to be understood by the term isles of the Gentiles. The word rendered isles, literally signifies settlement. (Calmet) The sons of Japhet, or the Jews, undoubtedly settled the northwest of Asia, and Eastern Europe and Western Mongolia; so that the land of Magog, the son of Japhet, must be found in these limits, or they were until the 20th century.

Josephus says, that Magogue founded the Magog, whom the Greeks then called Scyth. Now, the Greeks called those people Scythians, or Scyth, who extended themselves in length from Hungary, Transylvania; and Wallachia on the westward, to the river Don on the East. (Rennel) This country forms a large part of the Russian empire in Europe and Asia.

The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. (Psalm 145:20)

3). Gogthe chief prince of Meshech. Meshech was the sixth son of Japhet, and settled with his brother Tubal. They settled in the northeast angle of Asia Minor, from the shores of the Euxine along the south of the Caucasus; where the Montes, Moschisi, and where in after times, were the Moschi.

There appears to have been in the same neighborhood, a river and country called Rosh, and a people called Rhossi. These Rhossi and Moschi dispersed their colonies jointly over the vast empire of Russia, and preserve their names in those of Russians and Muscovites. Muscovy is a name given by some ancient geographers to Russia, and the terms Moscow, or Moskwa, Mosch, Mesce, Mesoch, and Mose, are but variations of their primitive Mshech.

One old writer by the name of Watson says this passage under consideration, is, in the Septuagint, rendered prince of Rosch, Meshech, and Tubal. These different translations are in harmony, because the Rhossi and Mosch were interchangeable terms used to designate the same people.

These people and their country are now included in the Russian empire, and give name to it, for Muscovy and Russia are derivative names from Rhossi and Moschi, or Meshech.

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I HAVE CALLED, and YE (jews, we know this because none of the things listed in these verses are for the Children of Jacob) REFUSED; I HAVE STRETCHED OUT MY HAND, and NO MAN REGARDED; BUT YE (jews) HAVE SET AT NOUGHT ALL MY COUNSEL (this is what Yahshua told them, when He said their traditions {Matthew 15:6}), AND WOULD NONE OF MY REPROOF: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. THEN SHALL THEY (the jews) CALL UPON ME, BUT I WILL NOT ANSWER; THEY (jews) SHALL SEEK ME EARLY, BUT THEY SHALL NOT FIND ME (here again is clear proof that Yahweh is speaking to the jews, because He told the Israelites that if they would seek His face and turn from their wicked ways, He would hear from heaven {2 Chronicles 7:14)): FOR THAT THEY HATED KNOWLEDGE, AND DID NOT CHOOSE THE FEAR OF THE LORD: THEY (the Jews, would not have any of Yahshuas counsel or words, because they would not hear them, as Yahshua said {John 8:47; 10:26}) WOULD NONE OF MY COUNSEL: THEY DESPISED ALL MY REPROOF. THEREFORE SHALL THEY EAT OF THE FRUIT OF THEIR OWN WAY, AND BE FILLED WITH THEIR OWN DEVICES. FOR THE TURNING AWAY OF THE SIMPLE SHALL SLAY THEM, AND THE PROSPERITY OF FOOLS SHALL DESTROY THEM. (Proverbs 1:22‑32)

4). Gogprince of Tubal. Tubal was the fifth son of Japhet. Many writers proves that Meshech and Tubal are the Muscovites and Tibarenians, or Siberians. The river Tobol, or Tubal, that waters a large part of Asiatic Russia, still bears the ancient name of the son of Japhet. The city of Tobol-ski, or Tobolium, also retains the name in formation. The territory of this region is also in the Russian empire.

But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. (Proverbs 2:22)

From these facts, it follows, that as Meshech, Tubal, and Magog compose the present Russian empire, that Gog, the prince of these, must represent the present Russian Jewish power.

His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray. (Proverbs 5:22-23)

Thus saith the Lord God, Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; and I will turn thee back, and put hooks in thy jaws. (Ezekiel 38:3-4) Clarke says, to turn him back signifies hostility to him.

And I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor, even a great company, with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. (Ezekiel 38:4)

The horses and horsemen symbolize the national kind of soldiery employed in the war by Gog. All sorts of armor (tanks, bullet proof vests, and etc.),shows the promiscuous character of the troops to be brought into the field. Bucklers and shields, and swords, represent the fierce hostility of the troops prepared for war. (They will be propagandized, like the people in the United States, today against Afghanistan)

The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth. (Proverbs 10:30)

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them, all of them with shield and helmet. Persia is here a representative of an Asiatic power, not an Arabic one, or the Mongolian Asiatics (the Jews); and Libya and Ethiopia represent the Africans (black race, who is already killing our Israel people daily in the United States and in the other Christian nations of the west), who will and have been enlisted in the war.

The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness. When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth. (Proverbs 11:5-7)

Gomer, and all his bands, the house of Togarmah, of the north quarters, and all his bands; and many people with thee. (Ezekiel 38:6)

Togarmah was a son of Gomer, and his descendants may be traced in Trocmi of Strabo, the Trogmi of Cicero, and Troginades of the council of Chalecedon, inhabiting the confines of Pontus and Cappadocia. Calmet says, Togarmah is to be placed in Scythia and Turcomania. Many people with thee, shows that many allies of Gog would accompany Togarmah from the north or from Russia; and the Mexicans and the blacks from the east and the south.

The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out. (Proverbs 13:9)

Be thou prepared and prepare thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. (Ezekiel 38:7)

This is prophetic of the jurisdiction to be extended over these multitudes by Russia, and the alliances it would make for the battle.

After many days thou shalt be visited; in the latter years thou shalt come unto the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains (nations) of Israel; which have been always waste; but is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. (Ezekiel 38:8)

Here the time of this great war is stated to be in the latter years, when Israel has been restored (and that does not mean the bastard nation in the middle east known as Israel today). The lands that have been always waste, and the people brought out of the nations, and all dwelling safely coincide with the Christian Israel in the United States. But because our Israel people have been so foolish as to allow the antichrist Jews into public office, schools, congress, and etc., it is no longer as safe as it once was. But the thing we have to fear the most today is our own people under the guidance of the antichrist Jews.

The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment. (Proverbs 21:7)

Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou and all thy bands and many people with thee. (Ezekiel 38:9)

Here a mighty invasion is predicted. No gathering of people has ever yet equaled the sublime one here described; for the people that were to be with Gog, or Russia, embrace nearly all of Europe and a great portion of Asia and Africa. The make up of this army is from three continents. The invasion is likened to a storm, and a cloud, and is seen to enter the glorious land.

For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out. (Proverbs 24:20)

Thus saith the Lord God, it shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought, and thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, to take a spoil and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and good, that dwell in the midst of the land. (Ezekiel 38:10-12)

The invasion is here stated to be to take a prey (and the Jews have certainly robbed our people in the last 100 years), and to subdue the country and people to Russia. The people to be invaded are represented as one made up of emigrants from the nations, as dwelling in peace, plenty, and safety; as dwelling in cities, having no defenses of any external character (the Jews and their lap-dogs, are even working day and night to rob us of the last bit of defense that we have by shipping it to foreign countries), in other words, as being easily accessible; and also as inhabiting a country never settled before it was by them.

No country on earth ever did or ever can coincide with this description, but the United States, and it meets the case exactly. The object of the invasion is to subjugate our power and destroy our Israel people

And, lo, as he saw the violence of the multitude that came, he neither lifted up his hand, nor held sword, nor any instrument of war: But only I saw that he sent out of his mouth as it had been a blast of fire, and out of his lips a flaming breath, and out of his tongue he cast out sparks and tempests. And they were all mixed together; the blast of fire, the flaming breath, and the great tempest; and fell with violence upon the multitude which was prepared to fight, and burned them up every one, so that upon a sudden of an innumerable multitude nothing was to be perceived, but only dust and smell of smoke: when I saw this I was afraid. (2 Esdras 13:9-11)

Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? Hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? To carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? (Ezekiel 38: 13)

Sheba and Dedan, sons of Raamah, and grandsons of Cush, son of Ham were famous traders in spices and ivory, ebony and fine cloth. Tarshish, the son of Javan and grandson of Japhet, gave name to the commercial world (are the Jews not famous in these areas and in the area of capturing gold and silver, and financial enterprises.

These various names are used figuratively for a mercantile people, and the term merchants is used to fasten the meaning in this direction. The words art thou come, seem to imply that the coming was to them, or to a commercial country. Indeed, the question could not be properly propounded except by those to whom Gog had come.

The question is not are you going to take a spoil, but, are you come; that is, are you come to us to take a spoil from us. The term young lions, appears to mean young powers or states, is a question propounded by the states as well as by the merchants.

Moses therefore saith to Jesus the son of Nun, giving him this name, when he sent him as a spy on the land; Take a book in thy hands, and write what the Lord saith, how the Son of God shall cut up by the roots all the house of Amalek in the last days. (Barnabas 12:9)

Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog: thus saith the Lord God; in that day when my people Israel dwell safely shot thou not know it? (Ezekiel 38:14)

Here a repetition of the prophecy begins. It is interrogatively affirmed, that Russia shall be thoroughly acquainted with Israel restored.

And so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done: this is also vanity. (Ecclesiastes 8:10)

And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses (Tanks, Troop Carriers, truck, jeeps, and etc.), a great company and a mighty army. (Ezekiel 38:15)

The seat of Gogs empire is here shown to be relatively a north country, which again coincides with Russia. A mighty army and company is accompany the power of Russia at this great invasion. (The invasion really began when the Jews began migrating to the United States in great numbers, at the latter part of the 19th century) All of them riding upon horses. this is figuratively put for the character of the invading host.

Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I WILL EASE ME OF MINE ADVERSARIES, AND AVENGE ME OF MINE ENEMIES. (Isaiah 1:24)

And thou shalt come up against my people Israel, as a cloud to cover the land. (Ezekiel 38:16)

This is a repetition of the same facts already stated, in almost the same words.

But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. (Isaiah 11:4)

It shall be in the latter days, (Ezekiel 38:17)

This fastens the time to the later ages of Christianity, for the words, latter days, when used prophetically, always refer to that late period.

For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors. And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve, That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers. He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth. The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing. Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us. Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us? Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD. I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts. The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations. For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back? In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden. Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent. And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant. (Isaiah 14:1-30)

And I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. (Ezekiel 38:16)

Here Yahweh asserts that He brings Russia and its accompanying hordes and the world to this war, to manifest His glory to the heathen, or wicked world.

For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion. (Isaiah 34:5-8)

Thus saith the Lord God, Art thou he of whom I have spoken of in old time, by my servants, the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years, that I would bring thee against them. (Ezekiel 38:17)

As the address is made at the very time of the invasion, the ancient prophets referred to must be those who, in all past ages, had predicted the doom of monarchy by Israel restored. There is, indeed, scarcely a prophecy of Israels restoration, in the Christian age, but treats also of the overthrow of monarchy, or the heath, by the arm of Israel restored.

Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed: Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit. And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name. (Isaiah 65:12-15)

And it shall come to pass, at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face, for in my jealousy, and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken. (Ezekiel 38:18)

Here God declares He will aid Israel in battle, with tremendous passion. Certainly, no one supposes that Yahwe in person will appear at that time; for Christ says He will not appear till till the tribulation of those days be ended. And until His enemies are made into a footstool for Him. The reference, therefore, must be to the anger of Yahwehs Israel, who are called by His name.

And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever. (Isaiah 34:4-10)

There is Edom [Esau is called Edom in Genesis 36:8. And Edom is in 'Modern Jewry' Jewish Encyclopedia, 1925 edition, Vol. 5, p. 41.

Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel, so that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains (nations) shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. (Ezekiel 38:19-20)

This is descriptive of the terrible wrath that will shake our nation, and set the world on fire with destruction.

O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us. I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way. They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters. The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away. Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them. (Jeremiah 6:26-30)

And I will call for a sword against him throughout all mountains (Christian nations), saith the Lord. (Ezekiel 38:20)

Calling for a sword is a tremendous call for slaughter. The term mounts is used figuratively for government or states or nations, and shows that all the states of our Union will rally to a man in the dreadful fray.

Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them. (Jeremiah 8:10-13)

And every mans sword shall be against his bother. (Ezekiel 38:21)

This indicates, that in Europe, at the time of this invasion, great insurrections will transpire, and that revolts among Russian troops may be generally expected, for many of them are Israelites and will discover their identity at that time.

Concerning Edom, thus saith the LORD of hosts; Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished? Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him. If grape gatherers come to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough. But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not. Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me. For thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it. For I have sworn by myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes. I have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle. For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men. Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD. Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof. As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it. (Jeremiah 49:7-18)

And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain and great hail stones, fire and brimstone. (Ezekiel 38:22)

Here dreadful war and sickness are to afflict the invading host. The rain and hail, and fire and brimstone, indicate great destruction o by power and bullets, and cannon balls. This is also the time that the strangers in our land, When the last battle begins the heathen (Mexicans, Negroes, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese and all the other various races and people) will flee to their home lands because the battle will be so fierce (Isaiah 13:14; Jeremiah 50:16)

Thus will I magnify myself; and will I be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord. (Ezekiel 38:23)

Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity. A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them. Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them. Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by. So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it. When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread: So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it. (Ezekiel 5:11-17)

The 39th chapter of Ezekiel twice repeats the destruction of the invaders of America.

1). Therefore thou son of man prophesy against Gog and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the prince of Rosc, Meshech, and Tubal. (Septuagint)

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them; And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity; Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk. And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couching place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel; Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen; Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth‑jeshimoth, Baal‑meon, and Kiriathaim, Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations. And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them; Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword. And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 25:1-14)

2). I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee (or smite thee with six plagues), and will cause thee to come up from the north parts (There is no way that one can place this prophecy to be against the Bastard state known as Israel, because of the words come up from the north parts for if Russia were to invade that country they would come down from the north parts), and will bring thee upon the mountains (nations) of Israel; and I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.

As Yahweh is said to bring Russia to the United States, He will do it instrumentally. No clue is given to the occasion of the invasion in the prophecy.

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it, And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate. I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: with thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword. I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there: Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee. And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume. Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them. Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate. As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 35:1-15)

3). Thou shalt fall upon the mountains (nations) of Israel, thou, and all thy ands, and the people that is with thee.

This determines the place of the battle to be in the United States, and shows that the Jews and their helpers will meet their doom there.

Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD: Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession: Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people: Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about; Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey. (Ezekiel 36:1-5)

4). I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field, to be devoured. Thou shalt fall upon the open field, for I the Lord have spoken it.

This shows that the Jews will have a most inglorious destruction.

The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle. Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised. The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD. If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grape gatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes? How are the things of Esau searched out! how are his hidden things sought up! All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him. Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau? And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter. For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever. In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them. But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress. Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity; Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress. For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head. For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been. But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it. And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead. And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of When the last battle begins the heathen (Mexicans, Negroes, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese and all the other various races and people) will flee to their home lands because the battle will be so fierce (Isaiah 13:14; Jeremiah 50:16) Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south. And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD's. (Obadiah 1:1-21)

5). And I will send a fire on Magog, and upon them that dwell carelessly in the isles, and they shall know that I am the Lord.

This shows that there shall be fire or war in Europe at the same time. The isles seem to refer to Great Britain, and well it should for one of the power centers of the Jews is there. This is indeed confirmed by John, who, at the time he describes the overthrow of Russia and its hordes by Israel, or the man on the cloud, describes also the treading of the vine or conquest of Britain (at least the Jews of Britain). He also says Britain, or the false Prophet, shall be taken with the beast, or Russia.

So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off. (Nahum 1:15)

6). Behold, it is come, it is done, saith the Lord God, this is the day whereof I have spoken.

This is the very language used by John when the seventh vial was poured out, in which Russia and Britain (The Jews) were to be overthrown. It is done.

And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and set on fire and burn the weapons...they shall burn them with fire seven years,

This indicates the terrible nature of the victory we shall obtain. The complete destruction of the Jews and their helpers.

I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD. I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests; And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham; And them that are turned back from the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor inquired for him. (Zephaniah 1:3-6)

7). And it shall come to pass, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel...and seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them.

This and several succeeding verses, show further the awful nature of the slaughter.

Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts. (Zechariah 14:21)

8). The seventeenth verse renews the declaration of the battle: and thou son of man, thus saith the Lord god, Speak unto every feathered fowl, and every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves and come, gather yourselves together on every side, to my sacrifice, that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains (nations) of Israel, that ye may eat flesh and drink blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, and of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. Ye shall eat the fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. Thus shall ye be filled at my table, with chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord God. And I will set my glory among the heathen and all the heathen shall see my judgment which I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

This coincides with the political judgment day of the ancient of days, described by Daniels. A parallel call to beasts and birds to the supper of Yahweh, is found in the seventeenth verse of the nineteenth chapter of Revelation.

And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness. (Malachi 1:3)

In these predictions we see all the great forces of the antichrist, the Jews, Asia, and Africa conjoined to invade Israel restored, and they are all allied with Russia. A greater force is assembled, and more millions of men are brought to the contest, and from a broader field, than were ever before assembled.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that IT SHALL LEAVE THEM NEITHER ROOT NOR BRANCH. (Malachi 4:1)

No in the name of all that is logical, is it probable of possible to excite and muster such a force, to pull down a few feeble Jews restored to Palestine? What is there, again, that could induce the ruling powers to grant Palestine to carnal Israel, and then bring all creation together to pull them down. Surely nothing but wild enthusiasm (brought on by the Jewish propaganda machine, the media, television, radio, movies and etc.) Can believe that the great statesmen of Europe and mighty warriors would combine to effect so small work as the conquest of the pitiful few Jews in Palestine. Surely men must be beside themselves who believe such a thing will take place.

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. (Romans 9:13)

Bozrah was a city in Idumea: And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead. (Genesis 36:33)

But if we turn to the United States, the Christian Israel of the latter day, we see a foeman that bids defiance to all their steel, and would demand such a confederacy as the prophet describes to create even a hope of success in the contest.

If in addition to this, we take Ezekiels description of the country and people of Israel which Russia, invaded, and compare it with our own, the coincidence is perfect. So that common sense and revelation both coincide in determining the United States as the Israel to be invaded by confederate Jewish forces.

This destruction of the Jewish enemy of Yahweh by Israel, coincides with the smiting of the great image by the stone kingdom, the casting down of the thrones by the people of the saints, the destruction of the willful king between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; the reaping of the earth and vine, and the taking of the beast and false prophet. The beast of course being Jewry.

Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and ALL THINE ENEMIES SHALL BE CUT OFF. (Micah 5:9)

The history of the world, and of Israel, as detailed by the literal or metonymic prophets, s repeated by symbolic predictions. It is obvious that prophecies of the same ages in the future, must agree in describing the same events; they can not disagree on the same subjects and points; but, as they give views of the same fields, they must shed light upon each other. Symbolic prophecy is more systematic in its arrangement, more vivid in its pictures, and more exact in its chronology, and has enlisted more efforts to exposition than metonymic prophecy.

Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. (Matthew 3:12)

Thick darkness has hung over all attempts to unseal that portion of them descriptive of the world from the fall of Jerusalem to the present time. The learned, and the world at large, have been perplexed greatly at this mystery and blindness, so complete has been the blindness on the subject, that men have not even seen that Daniel affirmed that the prophets were all sealed from the fall of Jerusalem to the time of the end.

But he (Christ) ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO THEM, AN EVIL AND ADULTEROUS GENERATION seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. (Matthew 12:39)

The wise have been divinely and purposely hindered in the work of interpretation of this great era. If, however, our age is the time of the end of Israels wandering, we may anticipate the meaning of the words closed up and sealed, and we may cautiously examine all theories proposing the solution of the great riddle of the prophets.

All theories of the meaning of it must certainly be fraught with some dominant error, if they have been proclaimed before the beginning of the time of the end. And as all theories now in vogue adopt the basis of interpretation projected ages ago, they must arrive at the same conclusions and be imperfect, from the same errors.

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, DIDST NOT THOU SOW GOOD SEED IN THY FIELD? FROM WHENCE THEN HATH IT TARES? HE SAID UNTO THEM, AN ENEMY HATH DONE THIS. The servants said unto him, wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and IN THE TIME OF HARVEST I WILL SAY TO THE REAPERS, GATHER YE TOGETHER FIRST THE TARES, AND BIND THEM IN BUNDLES TO BURN THEM: BUT GATHER THE WHEAT INTO MY BARN. (Matthew 13:24-30)

Much has been done to prepare the way for the final unsealing, yet, very few has hitherto accomplished the stupendous achievement. But the number of our Israel people who know their identity is growing daily because of the opening of their eyes; so they can see, and their ears; so they can understand by Yahweh. With modesty, we trust we approach the work where a thousand giants have failed to scale the ladder of observation, and view the hidden mansions and golden streets within the secluded city of full revaluation

Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 13:36-42)

Let us not be charged with presumption in undertaking what was to be accomplished by some common mortal, without the aid of the miracle of Yahweh. May not a child discover the wealth of Peru? And may not wane, as insignificant as either, by some strange providence gain the favor of Yahweh, discover the lost key of the prophetic temple as readily as the sine in their ermine and glasses?

Neither proof nor presumption of our error can be based upon our years, our humility of station, or unknown scholarship or abilities; these must be judged alone by the nature of our logic, and the realization of our interpretations.

Good sense must test the one, and future events the other; facts already known will certify whether we are correct as to the past, and give presumptive testimony of our future accuracy. All we ask is an unbiased judgment in the mind of the examiner.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and GATHERED THE GOOD INTO VESSELS, BUT CAST THE BAD AWAY. So shall it be AT THE END OF THE WORLD: THE ANGELS SHALL COME FORTH, AND SEVER THE WICKED FROM AMONG THE JUST, AND SHALL CAST THEM INTO THE FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 13:47-50)

Now lets examine the Reorganization of the Fourth Empire that is spoken of in the Book of Daniel. As most of our famous Judeo-Christian clergy in their ignorance have overlooked that the ten toes and the broken state will combine again; that is, the reorganized empire will embrace a portion of three continents. The facts by which the third territorial form is proved, are few, but conclusive:

1). It is said that the stone struck the image upon his feet; which were of iron and clay, and destroyed it. As the image is strictly chronological in its symbols, it is evident that the toes represented a later period of time than the feet, just as the fall of Rome was later than the beginning of church and state union.

It is also evident, as the sun at mid-day, that the smiting of the feet, and the instant fall of the great image of was a later time than that of the tent toes, or broken state of the empire. If this last were not true, then the broken state, represented by the toes, could never have existed; for the feet, aside from the toes represented the empire as a unit; divided into civil and ecclesiastical government, and the toes represented a later period than the feet.

As, therefore, the state of the empire represented by the feet, was obliged to exist before that represented by the toes could exist, and as both could not simultaneously exist, and, as the image was smitten on the consolidated and broken state represented by both feet and toes, it is obvious that the empire to be smitten this, must assume a form of unity, such as was resented by the feet.

The symbols being expressive of territorial form as well as of chronology, make this understanding of them reasonable and indeed imperative.

Then Jesus answered and said, O FAITHLESS AND PERVERSE GENERATION, HOW LONG SHALL I BE WITH YOU? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. (Matthew 17:17; Luke 9:41)

2). When the feet of the image were smitten by the stone, THEN it broke in pieces the iron, gold, clay, brass, and silver, altogether. As the gold represented the Assyrian government, and the silver the Persian, and the brass the Grecian, it is evident that an empire in which all these existed, together with the iron and clay, must have been smitten by the stone, or they could not have been broken together by a single stroke.

They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. (Matthew 21:41)

3). The time when they were broken was not to be a long period, but a short one. The whole image fell, the moment it was smitten. It was struck with violence, and, the vision says, then the image was broken. The term then has but one brief signification; it means at that time, and not at some other time, nor during a long period of time. At the very time, then, that the image was struck, it fell to pieces; it did not wait and fall some other time; its metals all perished then, they did not wait to be worn away by any slow moral process of decomposition.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. (Matthew 21:41)

4). In all the other symbolic prophecies of the fourth empire, it is represented as being reconstituted for a very short period before its final annihilation, this general uniformity must, therefore, be confirmatory of our position here.

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, TILL I MAKE THINE ENEMIES THY FOOTSTOOL? (Matthew 22:44; Mark 12:36)

The fourth kingdom of iron was to follow the one of brass. The brass being the Macedonian empire, the next empire which followed it must be the iron one. Thus, nothing is more clear than that the Roman empire followed the Macedonian.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for YE COMPASS SEA AND LAND TO MAKE ONE PROSELYTE, and WHEN HE IS MADE, YE MAKE HIM TWOFOLD MORE THE CHILD OF HELL THAN YOURSELVES. (Matthew 23:15)

The fourth empire was to be politically as strong as iron, and as iron is stronger than brass or gold, or silver. To this character the Roman empire has the fullest of claims. Whether consolidated, or in fragments, it has wielded greater power, and commanded a larger measure of influence, and endured more lastingly than any other empire ever did. The Roman empire was a kingdom of mighty warriors for ages (and well they should because they were Israelites) , and its codes of jurisprudence have wielded a commanding sway over the nations for nearly two thousand years. As iron is the strongest of metals, so Rome was the strongest of the empires.

But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. (Luke 19:14)

The fourth kingdom was to crush all other nations, and become universal. Rome conquered all nations, and the term applied to the Roman empire was, the common term used in our Saviors day to represent the whole world; the riches and glory of three continents ere tributary to it, or embraced in its limits. It comprehended all the civilized world, and much of the barbarous.

But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. (Luke 19:27)

The political complexion of the fourth kingdom after a given period of time had elapsed, was to be of a dual character, in which the church was to be mixed or united with the political iron power, and was to continue to the end of the empire, in all its territorial forms. Not quite four hundred years after the extinction of the Macedonian power, the Christian church was untied to the Roman political power, and, in every stage of the history of the empire, since the days of Constantine, this mixture has continued. It was about that time that the Church came under the complete control of the Jews, but their power would not come into real focus until Lylolia formed the Jesuits)

In the broken state, of the empire in Modern Europe, this union still abides, and seems likely to abide while the world endures. As the clay is a base material, so the Christian church, by this union with the state, has been grossly corrupted; and they who mingled themselves with the seed of men, have become baser than the iron of the world.

As the clay and iron were not to cleave closely to each other, so has been this debased alloy of church and state. The exact relationship of the church to the state had never been generally agreed upon, even though all man made laws follow someones religion; and there has been through past ages a constant struggle between them for political supremacy, the iron generally prevailing over the clay.

Popes have arrogated supremacy, and absolved nations from allegiance to kings and princes; but kings and princes have generally carried the day. So that while they have remained, and do remain combined, they have never been chemically united; even as iron is not (chemically united, or) mixed with clay.

They have had conflicting interests, and, from the nature of the case, they always will have. Nothing can exceed the accuracy of the brief description the prophet gives of church and state union in the Roman empire, since its institution. Nothing in fact could be more perfect.

And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but UNTO THEM THAT ARE WITHOUT (The Jews), ALL THESE THINGS ARE DONE IN PARABLES: THAT SEEING THEY MAY SEE, AND NOT PERCEIVE; AND HEARING THEY MAY HEAR, AND NOT UNDERSTAND; LEST AT ANY TIME THEY SHOULD BE CONVERTED, AND THEIR SINS SHOULD BE FORGIVEN THEM. (Mark 4:11‑12)

The first territorial form of the fourth empire was to be that of a unit. The Roman empire was a unit territorially, down to the days of Theodosius, in the year 395 A.D.; and after his death, it began to be broken up by the northern migrations.

Marvel not at this: for THE HOUR IS COMING, IN THE WHICH ALL THAT ARE IN THE GRAVES SHALL HEAR HIS VOICE, AND SHALL COME FORTH; THEY THAT HAVE DONE GOOD, UNTO THE RESURRECTION OF LIFE; AND THEY THAT HAVE DONE EVIL, UNTO THE RESURRECTION OF DAMNATION. (John 5:28-29)

The second territorial form of the fourth empire, was to be a broken one, and one part was to be divided into ten kingdoms. The Roman empire, or at least that portion of it which was in Europe, was broken to pieces by the inroads of the Germans, Goths, Vandals, and Huns; and ten kingdoms, in less than two hundred years, made their appearance. The Eastern empire existed up to this time; but, after Justinian, it declined, till all its light was extinguished. These ten Roman kingdoms, though not exactly simultaneous in origin, were just enough so to accord with the symbol which represented them and the empire.

It is observable, that the toes of the feet do not project from the foot at a right line across the foot, and that the foot is longer on one side than on the other. And so, a large part of the original empire represented by the feet, still existed, after some of the smaller toe kingdoms begin to project; and so, also, some of these ten kingdoms sprung up a very little in advance of others, yet all in the same era.

IF A MAN ABIDE NOT IN ME, HE IS CAST forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them INTO THE FIRE, AND THEY ARE BURNED. (John 15:6)

These fragments of the fourth kingdom, were gain to confederate. This has not yet taken place, and we can not; therefore, claim a certain coincidence here. Yet it appears that this is even now becoming a fact. The signs of the times, however, indicate so it is thought by those who know best the state of Eastern Europe, that Russia will effect a subserviency of Europe, that Russia will effect a subserviency of Europe to its power. We can see this in that the Jews control almost all the government in Europe at the present time.

WHEN PILATE therefore heard that saying, HE BROUGHT JESUS FORTH, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. And it was the preparation of the Passover, and about the sixth hour: AND HE SAITH UNTO THE JEWS, BEHOLD YOUR KING! BUT THEY (The Jews) CRIED OUT, AWAY WITH HIM, AWAY WITH HIM, CRUCIFY HIM. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? THE CHIEF PRIESTS ANSWERED, WE HAVE NO KING BUT CAESAR (Thus the Jews rejected the idea that Christ might rule over them, because they are not Israelites). (John 19:13-15)

The exiled Hungarian affirmed upon this subject, the following yet not improbable things. I predict (and the eternal God hears my prediction), that there can be no freedom for Europe, and that the Cossacks form the shores of the Don, will water their steeds in the Rhine, unless liberty be restored to Hungary.

Indeed, we can not entertain a doubt of the supremacy of Russia over all Europe, for such is clearly to be understood from the Book of Revelation and Ezekiel.

But those mine enemies (the Jews), which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. (Luke 19:27)

In the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom, which shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

Thus the United States is made of stronger stuff than Iron, it is based on the Word of God. Therefore, it is right for us to observe, that our discoveries in interpreting scripture, have compelled us to affirm that this fifth kingdom which the vision presents, and which Daniel interprets, is no other, and can be no other, than the restoration of Israel to nationality, or, in other words it is the United States of America.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. (2 Thessalonians 2:8-9)

However, there is one class of expositors that hold, that the stone is a political power, and another that it is purely a spiritual power, and that it is no other than Christianity. The former suppose that it represents Christ in His kingdom, suddenly appearing to break the political powers of the earth to pieces, and the latter suppose it to represent the gradual consuming of wicked governments by the prevalence of piety.

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)

Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots. (Jude 1:1-12)
